1.- Download it
If you haven't already done, you must first download the compressed file kilometre.sit
2.- Expand it
The file kilometre.sit can be expanded using Stuffit Expander™, by Aladdin Systems.
Once uncompressed, you will have in your disk a folder named "Kilometre Browser". This folder should contain the following files:
| Kilometre: | The application file |
| Readme.txt: | A user's guide |
| Kilometre CM: | Contextual menu plugin for MacOS 9 |
| Kilometre CM X.bundle: | Contextual menu plugin for MacOS X |
| patch68: | A shared library |
3.- Install support files
MacOS 9.0.x users (required): The patch68 library must be kept in the same folder as the application file Kilometre.
MacOS 9.x users (required): If you don't have CarbonLib 1.3.1 or later, get it from Apple and follow Apple instructions to install it.
MacOS 9.x users (optional): Move the file "Kilometre CM" to the contextual menu items folder in your system folder (usually "Startup disk:System Folder:Contextual Menu Items", although it may have a different name in localized versions of the operating system). After you restart, you will be able to launch Kilometre Browser from anywhere in the Finder using a contextual menu.
MacOS X users (optional): Move the file "Kilometre CM X.bundle" to the folder "Contextual Menu Items" in the folder "Library" of your startup disk. If this folder doesn't exist, you must create it with that exact name. You will then be able to launch Kilometre Browser from anywhere in the Finder using a contextual menu.
