About Me

This is me posing as though I were working

Welcome to my website.

My name is Alejandro Castro García. I was born in 1967 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), but I was raised in Madrid, where I still live. I studied Physical Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where I got a doctor's degree in 1998.

From 1990 to 2000, I enjoyed several research subsidies while at the Departamento de Física Aplicada at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1990-1991, 1992-1995) and the Surface Physics and Engineering Department at the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (1995-1998, 2000), where I studied chemical vapour deposition and sputtering techniques applied to different industries. During this time I developed several custom data acquisition & control software and file conversion utilities to be used by the people working at those research facilities.

Between the years 1998 and 2003 I worked on software projects of my own for Windows and Macintosh. I finally released two products for Macintosh that enjoyed some popularity: Kilometre Browser and Joke Ridge.

From 2003 to 2010 I did custom web programming for the web design company Oneclick Diseño y Software.

In late 2010 I started a company, Faustic Inferno, where I'm working since.
